safeTALK DeKalb Youth Leaders

The SAM Foundation is offering a free safeTALK suicide prevention training for youth pastors on June 14th. This valuable half-day workshop equips you to recognize suicide warning signs and connect young people with proper support. Given the mental health challenges facing today's youth and the limited resources in our region, this training offers practical tools to enhance your ministry's effectiveness. Many students struggle to discuss mental health concerns in church settings, and this workshop helps create important pathways for these crucial conversations. We believe this training is especially timely for youth leaders committed to caring well for the next generation. We will also be hosting a community time of prayer after the training for our students and the mental health battles they are facing. Youth leaders are also encouraged to bring any promotional materials about upcoming events or programs at their church that they would like to share with others.
