"On August 27th 2020 our lives were forever changed when our family lost Mary.

Our daughter, Mary Lynn Gray, was a thriving 22 years old at the peak of life when suicide tragically took her from us. Her family and friends continue to live each day filled with unanswered questions, guilt and grief.

Mary was a bright and beautiful soul, she was so full of life and adventure. She loved big and she loved deep. Mary was brave and bold, with a carefree attitude and a laugh that was both contagious as well as unforgettable. She always saw the good in people and never met a stranger. Mary would help the homeless without hesitation or admiration, her heart just wouldn't allow her to turn away from people in need. She was always helping others.

Little did we know that our beautiful daughter was silently losing herself. Unaware of the signs, we lost our beautiful Mary.

She was so passionate in her pursuit to change the world. We vow to hold true to her passion and continue to love the way Mary did. We share her story so others know they are not alone. Suicide is real and it can affect anyone. With the help of the SAM Foundation, we strive to help others see what we missed, to have the tools and knowledge available to prevent another life lost to this crisis. By preventing suicide through public awareness and education we will change the statistics. Suicide is preventable and there is hope." -- Michelle Gray
